Good Evening Roosevelt Families,

To our San Diego Padres and to all of you who are fans, congratulations!  That was an exciting series.  We have some important Roosevelt updates in this week’s update.  It was great to see so many of you on Friday at the Principal Town Hall on Zoom.  Here are the slides and the recording for you to review if you missed it.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please submit your Enrollment Cards and LCFF!!

Completing the LCFF form is essential for Title I funding to support Students and Staff, thank you for turning them in!

Upcoming Schedule Changes

RooFriends Fundraiser THIS FRIDAY Oct 21, 4:00 - 9:30 PM at Matteo in South Park.

Student Led Conferences October 26th and 27th from 2-4 pm

As a reminder, we will have our Student Led Conferences in person this year, which we are excited about.  Student Led Conferences are an opportunity for your child to share and discuss their learning with you. Parents and guardians are invited to participate with their children on campus on those afternoons. These conferences will take approximately 20 minutes.  We will ask for parents and guardians of students to follow the schedule below to help with balance, but understand if you need to attend at a time that works for you.

October 26th                                        October 27th

2:00-2:30 Last Names A-B                         2:00-2:30 Last Names M-N

2:30-3:00 Last Names C-D                         2:30-3:00 Last Names O-R

3:00-3:30 Last Names E-G                         3:00-3:30 Last Names S-T

3:30-4:00 Last Names H-L                         3:30-4:00 Last Names U-Z

It is important to note that our Student Led Conferences are not traditional parent teacher conferences.  As an IB school, one of our most important Learner Profile Attributes is reflection.  This will be an opportunity to hear from your child about what they have learned and where they can improve.  Teachers will circulate to answer questions regarding your child’s learning, keeping the focus away from a specific grade, but focusing on learning experiences.
